How Much Yarn do I Need?
My Suzy the Shepherdess two-ply, medium (worsted) weight yarn skeins are 50 grams, approximately 100 yards. I knit six stitches per inch with this yarn using #5 needles.
My two-ply fingering weight yarn skeins are 50 grams, approximately 235 yards. I knit nine stitches per inch with this yarn using #1 needles.
To determine how much yarn you need for a particular project your best bet is always to check the pattern, but if you don't have your pattern handy, below are some averages for how many skeins you
